Kobe
I’m not sure what I really want to say about Kobe but I’ll give it a shot. ❤️🙏🏾 For as long as I can remember Kobe was an example of black excellence. He set the stage for showing commitment to your craft, family, and friends. Kobe was a fierce competitor that had a level of focus and dedication that only the greatest of the game have ever fully embodied. He showed us what it meant to be counted out, win championships, get knocked down but always getting back up stronger. He showed us what it meant to not only be a player, but also be able to contribute to your community by investing in the youth and giving them his attention, love and support. I honestly don’t know how to feel… the news doesn’t feel real. 😞😕 It’s like you never know when it will be your last day, you never know when it’ll be someone you love last day. This begs the question: What should you do? You should quit and believe in nothing because it can all be taken for you, or should you be inspired and live the best as you possibly can like Kobe Bryant did. I want to live like him and do my best. And even saying that, I still struggle to imagine how it feels to be the family. How it feels to lose a father and daughter at the same time... I sigh even as typing this… I’m just hoping the family is even tighter than ever before. There’s so much more I want to say but don’t even have the words to say it yet. As time goes on, and as we process this collectively, hopefully we can also remember those moments we all shared that made us fans and caught the attention of the world.
