Why did we believe Elizabeth Holmes?
Was it the lofty mission, young ambitious founder?
Was it the smart team, well known investors?
Does it even matter now?
To some probably.
A story you want to believe.
Life changing, inspiring, and more.
Who’s the next Holmes?
Maybe there will never be another.
Hopefully there won’t be another.
Or maybe there is one now.
Have we been paying attention?
Probably not.
There’s signs.
But we ignore them.
And when it all comes crashing down like Theranos.
What will we say this time?
